Though she began painting on canvas, it’s not just this one particular art she specializes in now. She makes oil paintings, tanjore paintings, jharokha, mural painting, varmalas, wooden trays and portraits. But the shift from traditional form of art to making murals, jharokha and other forms was not easy for her.

Extensive research and a lot of experimenting is what helped her. She keeps learning new techniques and tricks each and everyday while experimenting at her workshop. Answering how she comes up with a design, she says, “I just throw colours on the canvas. It’s my sub-conscious mind that starts working after that.

Apart from just making art pieces for herself, she also puts them on sale online, at her workshop and also exhibits at a few exhibitions too.
